We believe in equality

We aim to improve connectivity of Ethnically Diverse communities across South Gloucestershire and tackle racial disparity within our six priority areas (Health, Employment, Criminal Justice, Education, Housing and Environment), whilst encouraging community cohesion.

Share our vision?

We strive to ensure that every person in South Gloucestershire has equal voice, influence and access to services and that all their needs are met in a culturally sensitive manner.

Our Aim

Improving connectivity and outcomes for ethnically diverse communities in South Gloucestershire across the following priority areas:

Working with LSP’s such as the NHS to tackle disproproportionate disparities and outcomes for people from ethnically diverse communities.

We have addressed Covid 19 inequalities with information and support and signposting.

We also adresss health conditions where race inequalities are prevelant through webinars and prevention sessions, such as mental helth/wellbeing, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Environment

Within our newest priority, we come up with ways that we can come together, whilst having a positive impact on not only our wellbeing, but also the planet.

Join us in Filton or Kingswood for gardening get together sessions at our allotments – let’s grow together!

Education

We held the head of Education to account around attainment and exclusion levels.

We promote and inclusive curriculum, engaging race and diversity and sponsor educational programs.

We also adress issues such as the ethnicall diverse teacher/govenor shortage and provide consultancy to create action plans to tackle the inequalities.

Housing

We engage with the main housing providers within South Glos and hold them to account for disparities seen within our ethnically diverse communities.

Have your say at one of our informative webinars when we address housing issues with guest panel from various jousing providers.
